WattMate ("we", "our", or "the app") is an electric vehicle charging tracker application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.

- Trip consumption from board computer (optional)

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the WattMate service
- Calculate charging statistics and efficiency metrics
- Sync your data across your devices
- Send account verification emails

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication: Manages your account securely
- Cloud Firestore: Stores your vehicle and charging data
- Firebase Remote Config: Delivers the EV catalog database
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
5. Third-Party Services
WattMate uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, database, cloud functions, and app configuration
- Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method
- Google Play Billing: Processes subscription purchases (Premium tier)
- Brevo (Sendinblue): Sends account verification emails
- Frankfurter API: Provides currency exchange rates from the European Central Bank (no personal data is sent)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information only:

- With service providers who assist in operating the app (listed in Section 5)

7. Your Rights
You have the right to:

- Export: Export your charging sessions in CSV format
- Delete: Delete your account and all associated data
- Correct: Update your information at any time
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app:
- Go to Settings
- Select "Account"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your vehicles, charging sessions, and preferences will be deleted.
8. Data Retention
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- Unverified accounts (accounts that have not completed email verification) are automatically deleted after 7 days.
9. Children's Privacy
WattMate is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the app or via email.
